Privacy Policy
Who we are
UPKEEP ("we", "us", "our") provides property care, exterior cleaning, maintenance and related services across South West England and South Wales. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Registered business name, address and company number: [to be confirmed].
What information we collect
We only collect what you give us directly, through the quote form, the commercial enquiry form, or by contacting us another way:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your property's postcode or address, and site access details where relevant
- A description of the work you'd like done, and which service(s) you're interested in
- Photos you choose to upload of the job or property
- For commercial enquiries: business name, your role, and number of sites
We do not currently run any analytics or tracking on this site, so we don't collect browsing behaviour data. If that changes, it will only happen with your consent — see the Cookies section below.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote
- To schedule, coordinate and carry out the work you've requested
- To keep basic records of jobs for accounting, warranty and legal purposes
- To contact you about UPKEEP Care or other relevant services, only where you've agreed to that
Our legal basis for most of this is that it's necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR), or our legitimate interest in running the business efficiently. Where we ask permission for anything else, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Photos you send us
Photos submitted through a quote form are used only to assess the job and provide an accurate price. We will never publish a photo of your property in our project gallery, marketing or social media without asking you separately first.
Sharing your information
We share the minimum necessary details with our trusted specialist subcontractors (see our Specialist Network page) only where their trade is needed to complete work you've asked for. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job information for as long as needed to deliver the service and handle any follow-up, and financial records for the period required by UK tax law (currently up to 6 years). If your enquiry doesn't turn into a job, we'll delete your details within a reasonable period unless you've asked to stay on our mailing list.
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for details on strictly necessary and analytics cookies, and how to manage your preference.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. To do any of this, contact us at [privacy contact email to be confirmed]. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if how we handle personal information changes, and update the date below when we do.
Last updated: drafted 2026 — pending final business details and legal review ahead of launch.
